About the course
Sussex Inlet Golf Club is on the outskirts of Sussex Inlet, a south coast holiday village on St Georges Basin about an hour's drive south of Nowra and a little over three hours from Sydney. It is a small club, and native wildlife is a regular sight on the course.
The course has nine holes, played twice for an 18-hole round with a par of 68 for men and 70 for women. From the blue tees the round measures 5,230 metres (rating 67, slope 117) and from the red tees 4,994 metres (rating 70, slope 117), with white and yellow tees also marked.
Visitors are welcome. Green fees for visitors are $40 for 18 holes and $29 for nine, and junior visitors pay $15. Carts cost visitors $45 for 18 holes and $35 for nine; hirers must be over 18 and hold a driver's licence. Buggies and hire clubs are also available. Competitions are held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday, and visitors wanting to play on those days should phone the club first. Social golf is available seven days a week, and bookings are made by phone.
The clubhouse has a lounge and a small pro shop selling snacks, cold drinks, tea and coffee, and there is a barbecue area with outdoor seating for groups.
