About the course

Tathra Beach Country Club is on Andy Poole Drive, about 3 km north of the Tathra surf club on the Sapphire Coast. The course is set in native bushland with views over the Bega River.

The 18-hole layout is flat and easy to walk, with several tee positions. It measures about 5,700 metres from the men's white tees and 5,836 metres from the blue tees, where it is par 71 with a slope of 124, and about 5,300 metres for women, who play to par 72. The 3rd, 9th, 14th and 18th are used for nearest-the-pin prizes in club events.

Social players are welcome. The green fee is $45 for 18 holes and $30 for nine, and carts cost $50 and $35. Social play is available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, after 12.30pm on Tuesday and Thursday, and after 3pm on Saturday; visitors should phone the club to check availability or to book into a competition. The weekly schedule is:

  • Tuesday: women, with an 18-hole event and a nine-hole stableford
  • Thursday: men
  • Saturday: men and women

The club runs annual events including the Sea Breeze 36-hole stroke tournaments in January and the men's Winter Breeze in August.

The clubhouse offers dining, regular live entertainment and social events, with a Chinese restaurant on site.
