About the course

Bermagui Country Club is on Tuross Street in Bermagui, on the Far South Coast of New South Wales. Alongside its 18-hole golf course the club runs bowls, tennis, croquet and a range of sub-clubs, and it acknowledges the Yuin Nation as Traditional Custodians of the land. The higher parts of the course look over the town and out to the ocean.

The course is a par 72, with two par 3s and two par 5s on each nine. From the men's tees the par 4s run between 316 and 397 metres. Drains, dams and water hazards feature on many holes, and several greens are two-tiered.

  • 1st: a 397-metre par 4 with a drain and bridge in front of the tee, and an approach that plays longer than it looks.
  • 4th: a 387-metre par 4 from an elevated tee with views of the town and ocean, turning sharply right and running downhill to a two-tiered green with water short left.
  • 8th: a 177-metre par 3 with water in front and scrub and a large bunker on the left.
  • 15th: a 164-metre par 3 on the edge of the dam, with a bunker each side of the green.
  • 18th: a 447-metre par 5 that doglegs left back to the clubhouse, with water near the corner and left of the green.

Members and visitors can play seven days a week. Visitor green fees are $55 for 18 holes and $35 for nine, and visitor cart hire is $50 for 18 and $35 for nine. Groups can enquire through the club's golf booking form, and golf packages are offered.

Practice balls are available from the pro shop. The resident PGA professional, Glen Dick, a five-time club champion, runs lessons, junior classes and school holiday camps. The clubhouse opens daily from 10am, and The Terrace Restaurant serves lunch from 11.30am to 2pm and dinner from 5.30pm. A courtesy bus is available.
