About the course
Temora Golf Club is at 82 Golf Club Road, about 3 kilometres from the centre of Temora in the Riverina. The 18-hole course has grass greens, and the club holds Good Sports Gold Medal accreditation.
The course measures 5,911 metres to a men's par of 71 and 5,237 metres to a women's par of 72, with four par 3s and three par 5s on the men's card. It is an easy walk for golfers of any age, with yellow pegs for water hazards, blue pegs at 150 metres and yellow plates at 100 metres. Holes worth knowing:
- 8th: a 295-metre par 4 where a water course must be carried or played short of.
- 9th: the longest hole, a 487-metre par 5.
- 10th: the hardest on the card, a 429-metre par 4.
- 17th: the signature hole, a 467-metre par 5.
Social golf can be played at any time. Fees are $20 for 18 holes and $10 for nine, paid in the yellow boxes at the first tee or by bank transfer. Men's competitions are on Sundays, women's on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and veterans play on Thursdays. From October to March the club runs Summer Teams, a six-hole competition from Wednesday to Saturday; non-members pay $150 for the season, which includes unlimited social golf. The 2026 Temora Open ran from 31 July to 2 August with a medley ambrose, a stroke and stableford round and an annual dinner.
The air-conditioned clubhouse has five beers on tap, a fire in winter, an indoor function room and an undercover barbecue area that overlooks the 18th green. The kitchen serves meals on Friday nights from 6.30pm, and a courtesy bus takes guests back to town after large functions.
