About the course

Cooma Golf Club is about 3 kilometres from Cooma, just off the Snowy Mountains Highway on the road to the lakes and snowfields. The 18-hole course sits on the Monaro plains with views towards the Snowy Mountains, and has bentgrass greens and plenty of birdlife.

The course is open from dawn to dusk seven days a week. Social tee times are available after 11.30am on Wednesdays and Saturdays, which are the 18-hole competition days, and at any time on other days. Green fees cover unlimited holes for the day and are paid at the iPad outside the pro shop window, which takes contactless cards; when the clubhouse is closed, cash goes in the honesty box. Groups can contact the club for a tee allocation and group rate, and a discounted midweek package runs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, booked online only.

  • Wednesday and Saturday: 18-hole competitions.
  • Sunday: the nine-hole Sunday Session, open to members and non-members with or without a handicap; register at 8.30am for an 8.45am start, no booking needed.

Two-seater motorised carts can be hired by licensed drivers over 21, ideally booked with the club secretary the day before. Pull buggies can be borrowed free from the barbecue area, and club hire is available. The dress code is relaxed: no singlets, enclosed shoes, and no work boots on the greens.

The clubhouse and pro shop open on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays during competitions. The clubhouse is fully licensed, so no outside alcohol is allowed, and glass is banned on the course. A PGA professional gives occasional lessons, and the club runs short-game classes.
