About the course
Winton Golf Club has a nine-hole course at 123 Vindex Street, Winton, in Queensland's Central West. The course has sand greens and natural fairways set in open outback country, and the Winton Shire Council lists it as open to the public.
The club hosted the Outback Queensland Masters in 2019, 2022 and 2024, and those events brought golfers to Winton from across Australia.
Visitors can also play outside club events. The council's listing says green fees are paid through an honesty system and that club competitions are held every Sunday, weather permitting. Confirm the current charge with the club on (07) 4657 1333.
The clubhouse has a bar and serves food and refreshments, and the grounds include lawns and gardens. Visitors are welcome at the club's social days and events.
