About the course

Boulia Golf Club is at 49 Wills Street in Boulia, about 3 kilometres from the centre of this small far western Queensland town, which is known for the legend of the Min Min Lights. Kangaroos are often the only gallery.

The club has an 18-hole course with natural fairways and sand greens, and Outback Queensland Tourism describes it as suited to players of all abilities.

Boulia has hosted the Outback Queensland Masters twice, in 2019 and 2024. The 2024 leg was played on 22 and 23 June, the second of six weekends on a route that also took in Birdsville, Winton, Barcaldine and Charleville before the finale at Quilpie, with 18 holes at each stop.

Social players pay no green fees, and golf clubs are available for hire. The clubhouse is the social centre of the club, with a bar serving cold drinks and meals, and it runs casual competitions and can be hired for meetings. Opening hours are not fixed and change through the year, so phone the club on 07 4746 3154 before heading out.
