About the course
Richmond Golf Club is at 1 Hillier Street, Richmond, a town on the Overlander's Way halfway between Townsville and Mount Isa in north-west Queensland. The course has sand greens, and kangaroos, brolgas and echidnas are often seen on the fairways.
Richmond was one of six venues for the Outback Queensland Masters in 2023 and again in 2025. The amateur series covers more than 1,900 kilometres of the outback and finishes with a Million Dollar Hole-In-One challenge. The club also hosted the Queensland Ladies Sand Green Championships in 2024. The number of holes and the par are not published online.
The club has a bar and offers food and refreshments. Green fees and playing days are not published online, so contact the club by phone on (07) 4741 3496 or through its Facebook page.
Richmond is also home to Kronosaurus Korner, a marine fossil museum, and there are free fossicking areas just outside town.
