About the course

Beachport Golf Club is a short walk from the centre of Beachport, a Limestone Coast town about four hours' drive from Adelaide, and the course sits 200 metres from Rivoli Bay. The town is home to a large rock lobster fleet, and its 772-metre jetty is the second longest in South Australia.

The nine-hole course is fully irrigated and laid out along tree-lined fairways to sloping greens. Golfers can try to carry the trees to shorten the way to the greens, but out of bounds waits for a mis-hit. Played as 18 holes it measures 5422 metres for men and 5102 metres for women, and it is easy walking for all ages. An orange short course caters for juniors, beginners and anyone after a quick game.

The course is open to the public in daylight hours. Green fees go in the honesty box or are paid by EFT, with details outside the clubhouse: $30 a day for nine or 18 holes, or $100 for seven days. Carts cost $40 for 18 holes, hire clubs $10 a day, and push buggies are free.

  • Wednesday: ladies at 10am in winter and 9.30am in summer; men's nine holes at 2pm.
  • Friday: twilight golf at 4.30pm from November to February, followed by tea; visitors and non-golfers are welcome for a game or a meal.
  • Sunday: men at 12.30pm in winter and 1pm in summer.

The club runs MyGolf junior programs in four-week blocks over the warmer months, and the clubhouse has a bar.
