About the course
Spalding Golf Club is a small country club at Spalding in the Mid North, in the Northern Areas Council district. According to the October 2026 edition of The Spalding Scribe, the town's community newsletter, the club is being revived after several quiet years, with locals coming back to the course and offering to help.
The newly elected committee is led by president Dane Sommerville, with Sam Trengove as vice president, Nat Sommerville as treasurer and Nicholas Bruce as secretary and public officer. Its first jobs are to get the mower working and tidy the course, run a series of working bees and get people back out for a casual round.
Details of the course, green fees and playing days had not been published at the time of writing. Visitors should contact the club through its committee before making the trip, and watch the Scribe for working bee dates and club news.
