About the course
Yankalilla Golf Club plays in Yankalilla Memorial Park, behind the Yankalilla Sporting Club; the turn-off is from Main South Road beside the Yankalilla Bakery. The park also has an oval, playground, barbecues and public toilets.
The course is a full-size 18-hole scrape (sand green) course set among mature gum trees, and the higher holes look out over the sea, farmland and the town. The scrapes season runs through the winter months, April to October.
The course is open to the public, except on pennant days and during special events. Green fees are $10 for 18 holes and $5 for nine, paid into the honesty box on the side of the clubhouse. There is no equipment hire, so bring your own clubs. The women's competition is on Tuesdays and the men's on Saturdays from 12 noon, and in summer a nine-hole twilight competition runs on Friday nights, followed by a barbecue. There is a car park on site.
