About the course

Elderslie Golf Club is a rural nine-hole course on Andersons Road at Broadmarsh, about 30 minutes' drive from Hobart. The club was established in 1947.

The course has 18 different tee beds, so the second nine plays differently from the first, and the full round is par 70 with a course rating of 67 over 5,255 metres. Greens are grass, the fairways roll gently and there are few bunkers.

  • 2nd: the only par 5, 448 metres from the men's tee.
  • 5th: the longest par 4 at 410 metres.
  • 6th: a 151-metre par 3.
  • 8th: the shortest hole, a 109-metre par 3.

Visitors can play in the club's competitions, though they are not eligible for overall prizes on Saturdays. Social golf is allowed at any time that does not clash with a club fixture, and social players give way to competitors. Green fees go in the box at the front of the clubhouse, or pay through the green fees app by scanning the QR code on the pole beside it.

  • Wednesday: midweek competition open to visitors, rolling start 7am to 9.30am; social play from 12.30pm.
  • Thursday: women's competition, visitors by arrangement; in daylight saving, nine-hole twilight Stableford from 3pm, open to visitors.
  • Saturday: members' competition, tee times 7am to 10am; social play from 12.30pm.
  • Sunday and Monday: social play welcome, but check the calendar for group bookings.
  • Tuesday and Friday: social play welcome; give way to the greenkeepers.
