About the course

Broadford Golf Club was established in 1924 and is about an hour north of Melbourne, on Horwood Road in Broadford. It is a community club with a junior program and the all-abilities Golf B.A.G. program.

The 18-hole course measures 5,606 metres and plays as a par 70 for men, and 5,125 metres at par 72 for women. It is fully watered, with tree-lined fairways over undulating to hilly ground, and dams and small water hazards on several holes.

  • 1st: a 521-metre par 5, the longest hole, running downhill to a small water hazard before turning right.
  • 8th: a 366-metre dogleg left that is the hardest hole for men, with a carry over water from the tee.
  • 17th: a 222-metre par 3 with a grassy hollow 50 metres short of a raised green.
  • 18th: a 378-metre uphill closing hole with a large dam down the right.

Green fees are $30 on weekdays and $35 on weekends, with juniors $7 and $10. No booking is needed: the clubhouse is unmanned, so pay by card at the self-serve machine near the Vendi carts, in the green fee box at the clubhouse entrance, or by bank transfer. Non-members can hire a cart for $40 for 18 holes or $20 for nine, booked through Vendi Golf or by phoning the club.

The course is closed to social play during competitions, on Wednesdays from 9am to 1:30pm and Saturdays from 11:30am to 4pm. Non-members with a GolfLink number can enter competitions by contacting the club. Social groups are welcome every day, and the clubhouse has a function room for hire.
