About the course
Kilmore Golf Club is on Anderson Road, Kilmore, about 25 minutes' drive from Melbourne's northern suburbs. It is a members' club that welcomes green fee players at any time, including on competition days.
The current scorecard gives a par 70 of 5498 metres for men from the blue tees (slope 112) and a par 72 of 5174 metres for women from the red tees (slope 126). The front nine is the longer half at 2975 metres, with the back nine 2523 metres and par 34 for men.
- 5th: a 444-metre par 5.
- 15th: the longest hole, a 459-metre par 5.
- 16th: a 359-metre par 4 and the hardest hole on the men's card.
- 17th: a 134-metre par 3, the shortest hole.
Non-member green fees are $25 for nine or 18 holes Monday to Friday and $30 on weekends, with juniors $10. Tee times can be booked through GolfNow, or by phoning 0408 486 853, ideally the day before. Carts cost $40 and are hired out only until 12.30pm, and cart drivers are asked to stay off the fairways and out of wet areas. Club competitions on Wednesday and Saturday start with a 9.30am shotgun, with earlier tee times available. Green fee players are welcome on those days but competition players have right of way: do not hit up on groups ahead, and call competition players through if they catch up. Under the club's heat policy, play is abandoned if the temperature at Kilmore reaches 38 degrees.
The clubhouse has a large balcony overlooking the course and barbecue facilities, and is available for functions on any day.
