About the course
Melton Valley Golf Club is on Melton Valley Drive in Melton, about 30 minutes from the Melbourne CBD along the Western Highway. The club was established in 1932.
The current 18-hole course was designed by Tony Cashmore and is fully watered with recycled water. It plays to a par of 72 and measures about 5705 metres from the men's tees and 5040 metres from the women's, with five par 5s and five par 3s. Narrow fairways, undulating greens and plenty of water define the layout, and the stretch after the turn is known as Amen Corner.
- 3rd: a 477-metre par 5 with water left of the dogleg, reachable for long hitters.
- 11th: a 455-metre par 5 with water all the way down the right.
- 12th: a 186-metre par 3 with a long carry and water on the right.
- 13th: a 321-metre par 4 with trees left and out of bounds right, rated the hardest hole.
- 16th: a 478-metre par 5 played uphill to a green that slopes sharply from back to front.
Visitors are welcome, and tee times can be booked online. Under the fee schedule from 1 November 2025, weekday green fees are $40 for 18 holes and $30 for nine, and weekend rounds $49 and $35. Unlimited walking golf after 2pm on weekdays costs $30, and juniors and concession holders pay less on weekdays. Visitors pay $50 for a motorised cart for 18 holes, and pull buggies and hire sets are available.
The club has a driving range, putting green and nets, with range buckets from $8 for visitors. The pro shop opens 6.30am to 6pm daily and offers adult and junior tuition. The Melton Valley Cafe serves meals and drinks, with Friday happy hour from 4pm, and hosts functions.

Weekend $49 (18); unlimited after 2pm weekdays $30; cart $50 (18). Juniors (under 18) Mon to Fri $25 (18), $20 (9); Sat, Sun and public holidays $30 (18), $25 (9); Concession Mon to Fri $35 (18), $27 (9); no concession rate on weekends and public holidays.
