Murchison Golf Club plays on a seasonal 18-hole sand scrape course set in bushland on the Murchison-Violet Town Road, about 2 km east of Murchison East. The club describes the course as flat, with wide fairways lined by mature native trees.
The course is par 71 for both men and women, with slope ratings of 114 for men and 112 for women.
The club is a member of the Goulburn Murray Golf Association. It is fully licensed on competition days, and the clubhouse can be hired for functions. Murchison players took part in the association's district teams event at Kyabram Valley View in August 2025, and the club has a long history in the district sand green championships, with Murchison women winning divisions in 1993 and 1997.
