About the course

Ocean Grove Golf Club is on Guthridge Street in Ocean Grove on the Bellarine Peninsula, about 25 minutes from Geelong and 90 minutes from Melbourne via the Geelong Freeway and Bellarine Highway. The course runs beside the Barwon River and has nine greens played as 18 holes.

Visitors can book tee times online, and fees are the same every day: $40 for 18 holes and $35 for nine, with concession and student rates of $35 and $30. Juniors under 8 pay $15 for nine or 18 holes outside December and January, and there is no seniors card discount. Members of Camperdown, Corowa, Geraldton, Horsham, Howlong, Portland and Timboon golf clubs get half-price reciprocal rates with a current membership card. Carts cost $45 for 18 holes and $35 for nine, and are limited, so book early; club hire is $15 and push buggies $7.

Competition days restrict green fee times, which are subject to change:

Monday and Sunday: green fees all day.
Tuesday: after 2pm.
Wednesday: before 4pm during daylight saving.
Thursday and Friday: after 1pm.
Saturday: after 3:30pm.

The Bunker Bistro in the clubhouse serves dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:30pm, including an Indonesian buffet on Thursdays (not in January), and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am; bookings are essential on 03 5256 2795 (option 2). The bar has tap and bottled beers and a wine list, and there is a beer garden by the river.
