About the course

Parklands Golf Club is a public club on North Boundary Road in Hamilton, run and maintained by a committee of volunteers. It was formed at a public meeting of 26 people in the Hamilton Town Hall supper room on 4 September 1972, gained Victorian Golf Association affiliation in March 1973 and joined the Glenelg District Golf Association the following month. At that stage it had nine sand greens and a length of 5340 yards.

The members built the club up themselves. The first annual open tournament was held in July 1974, a member built a petrol-driven sieve to prepare sand for the scrapes, and the clubhouse, built partly with second-hand bricks cleaned by volunteers, was opened on 23 June 1984.

Today the course has 18 holes. The club sees itself as a family club for golfers of all ages and abilities, and it offers a seasonal membership for April to September alongside full, junior and social categories. Recent fixtures include a nine-hole stableford and a women's stroke round with eclectic and putting competitions, both in October 2026.

The club's address is 421 North Boundary Road, Hamilton, and it can be contacted by email at secretary@parklandsgolfclub.com.au. Green fees for visitors were not published online.
