About the course
Willaura Golf Club is on Wickliffe Road at Willaura, a small farming town on the southern edge of the Grampians, about 45 minutes from Ararat. The club is one of 24 in the Western District Golf Association, whose area extends north to Willaura.
The 18-hole course has synthetic grass greens, and the club says it was the first to install them. Gently undulating fairways run around three lakes. The association lists the course length as 5,212, par 70 for both men and women, with slope ratings of 108 for men and 114 for women.
The playing season runs from April to October. Green fees are not published on a current dated page, so phone the club on (03) 5354 1465 before travelling, particularly outside the season. The club has no website and posts news through a Facebook group.
