About the course
Yallourn Golf Club is on Golf Links Road at Newborough in the Latrobe Valley, with views of Mt Baw Baw and the rolling hills of the upper valley. The club has reached its centenary.
The course plays to a par of 71 and is set up for golfers of every standard, from low handicappers to newcomers, with a varied mix of holes. The club website does not publish the number of holes, green fees or competition times, and its golf page was still under construction in October 2026.
Visitors book a round by phoning the pro shop on (03) 5127 6962. The pro shop sells discounted golf gear and offers club fitting and lessons, which can be booked online. Members pay no joining fee and receive free or discounted rates at reciprocal clubs. The clubhouse has a modern function room used for weddings and other celebrations, with a choice of local caterers or self-catering, and solar lighting has been added to the car park with the help of a community grant.
