About the course

Bridgetown Golf Club is about 4 km north of Bridgetown, which is roughly 270 km south of Perth. A fire in 2022 destroyed the clubhouse and badly damaged much of the course. The club has since rebuilt its playing surfaces, members are back playing regularly, and the course has reopened to visitors.

The 18-hole course has grass greens and fairways, with the greens designed by Robbie Robertson. Kangaroos gather on the course in large numbers early in the morning and most evenings.

Visitors are welcome on a green fee basis: $25 for 18 holes, $20 for nine and $5 for juniors. Fees go into the honesty box between the 18th fairway and the car park, or can be paid online using the details on the box. No booking is needed unless you want to play on a competition day, so check the fixtures first. Golf is played year round, with the main season from April to November. The winter program includes:

  • Tuesday: nine-hole social golf from 8.30am, suited to novices.
  • Wednesday: ladies' 18 holes from 9.30am and a mixed nine from 11am.
  • Thursday: 18-hole Scroungers stableford, played all year and open to all.
  • Saturday: men's 18-hole competition from noon, with ladies welcome in a separate competition.

Practice facilities are a practice green beside the 18th green and a practice fairway between the 10th and 11th. The club's mini golf garden, Jean's Garden, was also damaged in the fire. Bar facilities open on competition days.
