About the course
Balingup Golf Club is a small country club on the western side of the South Western Highway, about 2.5 km from the centre of Balingup in the South West. Its details are published by the Balingup Progress Association on the town's community website.
The course has nine holes with sand greens, laid out over undulating country among native bush. The native vegetation lining the fairways is close enough to come into play on wayward shots.
Visitors are welcome, and the green fee is $5 a round whether you play nine or 18 holes. Club competitions are played on Saturday afternoons in the winter season, from April to November, with a 12.30pm start, and are open to both men and women. Annual membership costs $60, with reduced rates for juniors and a country membership for occasional players.
