About the course

Dunsborough Country Club is a multi-sport club a few minutes' drive from the Dunsborough town centre, set on more than 55 hectares of bushland reserve. It grew out of a 1971 decision by the Dunsborough Progress Association to set up a sporting and social club. The original clubhouse and the first nine golf holes opened in September 1973, and the club was officially opened on 29 December that year. Approval for a second nine followed in 1979, and the first four of the new holes were ready by October 1980.

The course has 18 holes with sand greens, laid out through native bush with ocean views, and is maintained by volunteer members. It carries a Golf Australia rating and the club is affiliated with Golf WA. A nine-hole FootGolf course also runs across the property.

The course is open to the public all year, seven days a week. Green fees are $30 for 18 holes and $22 for nine, paid at the pay station in the clubhouse foyer. Check the golf noticeboard beside it for member competition times before heading out. Regular fixtures:

  • Wednesday and Saturday: men's competitions, 18 holes from 11.30am between April and December, and 14 holes from 1pm from January to March.
  • Thursday: ladies' nine or 18 holes, names in by 9am for a 9.30am tee-off.
  • Friday: SpeedGolf from 3.30pm.

The clubhouse has a licensed bar, commercial kitchen and dining room. It is open Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 7pm and Saturday from 9am until late, with buffet dining from 6pm, and on Sundays from noon to 6.30pm in December and January only. It is closed on Mondays. The club also offers bowls, croquet, tennis and mountain bike trails.
