About the course

Gold Creek Country Club is a public-access club at 50 Curran Drive in Nicholls, in Canberra's north. It has an 18-hole, par 72 championship course, a fully grassed driving range fitted with TrackMan ball tracking, PGA lessons through its golf academy, and Trevino's restaurant in the clubhouse.

Construction of a new Activity and Administration Centre began in October 2025 and is scheduled to finish in April 2027. The course stays open during the works, but car parks are closed in stages, with overflow parking on weekends. The practice green beside the 9th green is no longer in use while the club looks at replacing it.

Social play is available all day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 1pm on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, when competitions run from 7am to 1pm; visitors can book into those competitions through the pro shop. Bookings are required both for rounds and for carts. Visitor green fees are $65 for 18 holes and $40 for nine on weekdays, and $75 and $45 on weekends and public holidays. Carts cost $50 for 18 holes and $25 for nine. The last carts go out at 3pm outside daylight saving and 4.30pm during it.

Visitors pay $15 for a small bucket and $28 for a large one at the range, which closes at 4.30pm in winter and 6pm in daylight saving months. The pro shop opens from 6.30am, or 6am on competition days, and sells equipment and apparel and takes special orders. Trevino's is open to everyone, with breakfast on Saturday and Sunday from 8am, lunch from Tuesday to Sunday and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday; it is closed on Mondays.
