About the course
Yowani Country Club is at 31 Riggall Place, Lyneham, in Canberra's inner north, on a course the club says reflects more than 70 years of development. After many years of planning, the course has been redesigned by Contour Golf, and a new clubhouse and pro shop have opened alongside it.
The new layout is 18 holes, par 70, over gently undulating ground with tree-lined fairways, water hazards, modern bunkering and bentgrass greens.
Visitors are welcome for social golf and in competitions. Social rounds must be booked by phoning the pro shop on (02) 6228 9745, and are available all day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and after 2.30pm on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Green fees from 27 April 2026 are $59 for 18 holes and $35 for nine from Monday to Thursday, and $65 and $39 from Friday to Sunday and on public holidays. Juniors pay $22 and $12. Carts cost $45 for 18 holes and $34 for nine, and buggies and clubs can be hired. Social members, who join for $29, can play unlimited holes late in the day for $35 on weekdays or $39 from Friday to Sunday. Visitors from other clubs can generally book into competitions three days ahead, and the professionals run open medley competitions on Wednesday and Friday.
The pro shop stocks the major brands and has an indoor fitting centre using GC Quad launch monitor technology. PGA professionals teach members and visitors, with private lessons at $109 and clinics from $15. The restaurant serves lunch from Tuesday to Saturday and dinner from Thursday to Saturday, and bookings are essential on (02) 6241 3377.
