About the course

Blayney Golf Club is on the Mid Western Highway just south of Blayney in the Central West, about three and a half hours' drive from Sydney and two and a half hours from Canberra. The club was built in the mid-1940s with a nine-hole layout, and its clubhouse still stands on the original site. The course was redesigned and converted to grass greens in 1972.

The nine holes play to a par of 34 from the blue tees, measuring 2662 metres, with tight, tree-lined fairways and sloping bentgrass greens. The par 3s are short but demanding: the 2nd and 6th are both under 130 metres, and the 9th is a 186-metre finishing par 3. The longest hole is the 3rd, a par 5 of 454 metres.

The course is open seven days a week. During the week it is usually unattended, and players pay green fees into an honesty box on the first tee from Sunday through to Friday lunchtime. The clubhouse opens on Saturdays from 8am, and on Friday afternoons during daylight saving. Competition golf is played on Saturday mornings, and social play is available all day from Sunday to Friday and after 2pm on Saturdays.

The clubhouse has a bar and an outdoor deck and is available for functions.
