About the course

Cowra Golf Club sits on Mees Street beside the Lachlan River in Cowra, in the Central West. The riverside course runs among gum trees and creeks, and wildlife is common around the layout.

The 18-hole course is a par 71 of 5,954 metres with a course rating of 70.5. The fairways are fully irrigated kikuyu and the greens are bentgrass.

Members and visitors can play seven days a week, and the visitor rate is the same every day: $40 for 18 holes and $25 for nine, with juniors under 18 paying $15 and $10. Members of reciprocal clubs pay $20 and $15 on showing a membership card. Green fees are paid at the pro shop on arrival, and tee times can be booked online. Twilight golf costs $15 for unlimited holes until dark. Carts are $40 for 18 holes and $30 for nine, pull buggies $5, motorised buggies $20 (book ahead), and hire clubs from $20. Saturday and midweek competition fees match the green fee for each category, and the season includes a club championship series and monthly medals.

The pro shop stocks equipment and apparel and offers fitting and club repairs. PGA professional James Hundy coaches golfers of all standards, and a golf simulator allows year-round practice and swing analysis. The bistro serves dinner from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesdays and Fridays, with a full bar and outdoor dining.
