About the course

Bondi Golf & Diggers Club occupies the clifftop at North Bondi on Military Road, overlooking Bondi Beach. The club was founded in 1935 on the North Bondi sandhills, and the course looks out over the ocean, the beach and the Sydney city skyline.

The course is nine holes, all par 3s, played in an old-style links manner where sea breezes have a strong influence. It is short and suits casual and beginner golfers as well as those working on their approach and short game.

Social play is open to everyone seven days a week outside member competitions: from 7am to sundown on weekdays and from 11am on weekends and Wednesdays. There are no tee times; golfers arrive and join the queue, although groups of 10 or more should contact the pro shop to reserve times. Midweek fees are $30 for nine holes and $35 for 18, and $35 and $37 on weekends. Golf carts cost $45 for nine and $50 for 18, and right and left-handed hire sets are available. There is no dress code on the course.

  • Open competitions: Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 7am, for players with a current GA handicap; non-members enter by phoning the pro shop.

The pro shop is open from 7am. The Bondi Diggers clubhouse has a bar, bistro and beer garden with ocean views, opening from 2pm on Monday and Tuesday and from 10am Wednesday to Sunday, and hosts functions and group golf days.

Green fees

Weekend $35 (9) and $37 (18); cart hire $45 (9) and $50 (18); club hire $20 half set, $30 full set. No tee times, first come first served; groups of 10+ book via the pro shop.
