About the course
Eastlake Golf Club is on Gardeners Road at Daceyville, about 15 minutes from the Sydney CBD. The course was created under a 1928 lease of Sydney Water Reserve land to The Lakes Golf Club, which required The Lakes to build a public 18-hole course alongside its own private one. The first nine holes of the Eastlake public course opened in 1930, when a group of 30 members and associates founded the Eastlake club, and the second nine followed in 1932. The club took over full responsibility for maintaining the course in 1958.
The 18-hole course measures about 5,800 metres from the blue tees, and each hole carries a name. The front nine includes several short par 4s, while creeks, native scrub and pines feature through the round, and some holes look out over Botany Bay, the airport and the city skyline. Several holes have recently redesigned bunkers and tees.
- 6th: Wuthering Heights, a 385-metre par 4 with views over Botany Bay and an approach across a creek.
- 12th: The Dirty Half Mile, a 513-metre par 5 with a creek in the driving zone.
- 17th: Genesis, the newest hole, a 155-metre downhill par 3 to an undulating green beside the lake.
Eastlake is open to everyone. Golfers register free as public members and book tee times online. In the spring and summer season (October 2026 to April 2027), weekday green fees for 18 holes are $75 before 3pm, $65 for twilight from 3pm to 4pm and $50 after 4pm, rising to $90, $80 and $60 on weekends and public holidays; juniors 17 and under pay $30. Carts are $55, or $40 after 4pm, and are allocated on the day rather than booked online. Sand buckets must be carried, and collared shirts and tailored shorts or trousers are required.
Lessons with AJS Golf coaches can be booked through the club website, and the club hosts corporate and social golf days with a multi-purpose function room for post-round events.
