About the course

Botany Golf Course is a council-run public course on Botany Road, a few minutes from Sydney Airport, operated by Bayside Council. It is a nine-hole layout of about 2,300 metres with a par of 33, and the council pitches it at beginners and at golfers wanting a quick nine.

There is no booking system and no club affiliation is needed. Golfers turn up during opening hours, pay at the pro shop and play, with tee access and hire equipment allocated on a first come, first served basis, and groups are capped at four players. The course is open seven days: 6am to 7pm from September to April, and 6.30am to 5pm from May to August.

The 2026/27 adult fees are $25.50 for nine holes and $38 for 18. Concession, senior and pensioner rates are $18.60 and $28.50, and school students pay $9.30 for nine. An afternoon rate of $14 applies from 3pm in winter and from 4pm during daylight saving. Buggy hire is $8.20 and club hire $23.50.

The pro shop sells clubs, balls, bags and clothing from brands such as Bridgestone, TaylorMade and Wilson Staff, hires clubs and buggies, and has snacks and drinks. Parking is limited, both on the street and on site, and a bus stop sits near the entrance to the building. The pro shop can be reached on 9316 4930.
