About the course
Breakers Country Club is at 64 Dover Road, Wamberal, on the Central Coast about 90 minutes north of Sydney via the M1. The club belongs to the Mounties Group and also offers bowls, dining and entertainment.
The course is a nine-hole, par 33 layout of 2473 metres from the blue tees and 2301 metres from the red. The fairways are narrow and tree-lined, and six of the nine holes have water hazards. There are three par 3s, the longest being the 160-metre 4th.
Social players are welcome. Golf NSW lists the course as open to them all day on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, after 3:30pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and after 11:30am on Sundays. Bookings are essential. Green fees are not published online, and bookings go through the pro shop on (02) 4384 5691. The weekly schedule is:
- Tuesday: men's competition, then social play
- Thursday: women's competition, then social play
- Saturday: mixed competition, then social play
- Sunday: men's competition, then social play
Practice nets and a putting green are available for warming up. The clubhouse has the Skillion Brasserie, bars and a kids' play area.
