About the course

Wyong Golf Club occupies about 49 acres on the Pacific Highway in Wyong, around 15 minutes from the Wyong exit of the M1. Organised golf in the town began in 1923 with a nine-hole sand-green course on the Wyong racecourse. In 1930 the club moved to Gaha's Paddock on Jensen Road, where cattle grazed and the greens were fenced, and Don Bradman played an exhibition match there in 1933. The club leased part of its present site in 1934, opened a nine-hole grass-green course on 9 May 1936 and bought the land in 1947.

Between 1953 and 1956 the course was extended to 18 holes to a design by Al Howard, and at the time it included a 613-yard par 5. The Cooper-Nagle plan of the mid-1990s remodelled four front-nine holes and added water storage. Today it is a parkland course with kikuyu fairways, paperbarks, water in play, strategic bunkering and contoured greens.

Visitors are welcome. Under fees in force from 1 December 2025, a midweek social round is $55 for 18 holes before 1pm (2pm in daylight saving), $40 in the following hour and $35 for sundowner golf later in the day; on weekends the rates are $65, $50 and $40. A limited back-nine round before competitions costs $30 on weekdays and $40 on weekends. Carts are $55 before 1pm and cheaper later in the day, and private carts are not permitted. The pro shop is run by Director of Golf Steven Binns, an advanced accredited PGA coach, and offers lessons and clinics. Practice facilities include a driving range with limited late-afternoon hours, nets, putting and chipping greens with a bunker, and a virtual golf simulator for wet days. Pacific Par Bistro serves lunch and dinner Tuesday to Sunday.
