About the course

Gosford Golf Club is on Racecourse Road between Narara Creek and the Gosford CBD, just over an hour's drive north of Sydney. It describes itself as the heritage club of the Central Coast. Golf began in 1927 on a nine-hole sand-green course at Jusfrute Park, and the club moved to its present Victoria Park site, where a new nine-hole course opened in April 1933. An 18-hole layout was agreed with the council in 1942. The club helped form the district golf association in 1949, and in 1985 Fred Bolton redesigned the course to keep balls off Racecourse Road.

The course is an 18-hole parkland layout on gently undulating ground, with views to the surrounding mountains. It plays as a par 71 of 5805 metres for men and a par 73 of 5272 metres for women.

Visitors are welcome as guests. The flat green fee before 3pm is $50 from Monday to Thursday and $55 from Friday to Sunday. After 3pm, twilight golf costs $30 walking or $39 with a shared cart. Juniors pay $15. Tee times are booked online through MiClub, with variable pricing at some times. Golf NSW lists competitions from Tuesday to Sunday. The dress code is smart casual, with no thongs or singlets.

PGA professionals coach every day of the week. The club also has TrackMan golf simulator rooms and a pro shop on (02) 4337 3333. The clubhouse, renovated in 2005 and 2006, has a bistro and function rooms.
