About the course
Burcher Golf Club is on Bena Street, the main street of Burcher, a small farming village in the Lachlan Shire of central New South Wales. The village is about half an hour by road from both Condobolin and West Wyalong.
The course has nine holes with small greens made from black soil and fairways of red dirt, a style of golf still found in parts of inland New South Wales. Each hole has two teeing areas set 20 to 30 metres apart, so a full 18-hole round can be played by going around twice from different tees. The club holds a Golf Australia course rating, with a scratch rating of 67 from both the blue and red tees.
Visitors are welcome to play. Facilities at the course are limited, and green fees, playing times and competition days are not published online, so it is worth phoning the club before making the trip.
