About the course

Young Golf Club is on William Street in Young and gives its founding year as 1906. The course layout is credited to Carnegie Clark. Clubhouse and bar enquiries are handled through the Young Services Club, while golf enquiries go to the pro shop.

The 18-hole course is fully irrigated and tree-lined, with kikuyu fairways and bent grass greens. It plays to par 70 from the blue tees at 5,618 metres (slope 124) and par 72 from the red tees at about 5,080 metres. Hole-by-hole details are not published on the club site.

Golf NSW lists it as a public course where a game is usually easy to arrange, and social golf is available seven days a week. Visitor fees are $40 for 18 holes and $25 for nine. Two-seater carts cost $45 for 18 holes and $35 for nine, charged per cart. Tee times are booked through the pro shop by phone or email. Club competitions are held on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The club runs an annual Pro-Am. The 2026 event was played on 23 and 24 September with a two-tee start from 7.35am, $5,000 in amateur prizes and an $80 daily entry, and players needed a GA handicap.

The pro shop opens on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and stocks equipment. The clubhouse has a lounge and bar, a bistro, and hosts weddings and functions, and the club lists practice facilities including putting greens. Membership packages include member golf days and bar access.
