About the course

Dorrigo Golf Club is on Whisky Creek Road beside the Bielsdown River, about a kilometre from the centre of Dorrigo on the plateau. The club was established on 1 August 1924.

The course has nine holes with bent grass greens and separate tees for the front and back nines, giving a par of 64 over 18 holes. The elevated site and free-draining soils mean it usually stays playable after heavy rain, and the many deciduous trees change the look of the course from season to season.

Visitors, social clubs and new members are welcome. Non-members pay $30 for 18 holes and $22 for nine. Motorised carts cost $45 for 18 holes and $30 for nine and must be booked ahead, and five sets of hire clubs, including two left-handed sets, are available for $15. Competitions for members and their guests are held on Thursday and Saturday mornings, with registration between 8am and 9am. Social clubs can book 18 holes with a steak and salad lunch for $45 a head on non-competition days, with a limit of 60 players.

The clubhouse sits on a hill overlooking the course, with snacks and a bar run by volunteers. It hosts an open mic night with live music on the first Thursday of each month and can be hired for birthdays, weddings, meetings and other functions.
