About the course
Lynwood Golf & Country Club is at Pitt Town in the Hawkesbury region of north-west Sydney, and is run by the CHRG group. The club takes its name from Lynwood House, a colonial-style house built around 1814 that stands on the course property.
The 18-hole course was designed by Graham Papworth, a former president of the Australian Golf Course Architects Association, and covers 230 acres of undulating ground. It is a links-style layout of about 6,400 metres and par 72, with couch fairways running past natural wetlands, sandy waste areas and natural rough.
- 4th: the shortest par 4, a dogleg right with a pond short of a small plateau green, within reach of long hitters in a south-easterly.
- 14th: a par 3 played from an elevated tee across a valley to a green with three bunkers and three pin zones.
- 18th: a 459-metre par 5 from the white tees, with a deep bunker at the front right of a raised green.
Visitors are welcome and bookings are essential, made online through the club's tee-time system. In October 2026 the booking calendar listed 18-hole weekday rounds at $60, with nine-hole rounds offered on weekends only. Cart hire is available, and CHRG members receive discounted green fees.
The driving range is floodlit and open until 9:30pm, with 16 undercover bays and a two-tier grass tee area, and there is a short-game range with bunkers and a seven-pin practice putting green. The pro shop sells equipment and apparel, and PGA professionals run lessons and clinics for juniors, women and seniors. The clubhouse has the Country Kitchen bistro, a cafe, main and sports bars, and the venue also has the Lynwood Links mini golf course.
