About the course

Windsor Golf Club, run as Windsor Country Golf Club and linked with Windsor RSL, is at 51 McQuade Avenue, South Windsor, in the Hawkesbury district about an hour north-west of Sydney. The club describes the 18-hole course as a championship layout with a long history, and the clubhouse looks over the fairways towards the Blue Mountains.

The club's course tour lists two sets of tees. From the longer set, holes worth knowing include:

  • 2nd: a 186-metre par 3.
  • 3rd: the longest hole, a 547-metre par 5.
  • 10th: a 472-metre par 5.
  • 14th: a 511-metre par 5.
  • 17th: the shortest hole, a 130-metre par 3.

Visitors are welcome, and public tee times can be booked online seven days a week through the club's MiClub page after a one-off registration, or by phoning the pro shop on (02) 4577 4390. Weekday twilight golf starts at 3:30pm, with 18 holes for $25. Corporate golf days run on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Dress should be neat and tidy: T-shirts, swimwear, open footwear and metal spikes are not allowed on the course.

The clubhouse has the Country Club Bistro, which serves breakfast and lunch with views over the course, and function spaces for events. The golf shop handles bookings and enquiries.

Weekend $55/$45; cart weekday $50 (18) / $40 (9), weekend $55/$45. Weekday twilight golf from 3:30pm, 18 holes $25.
