About the course
Richmond Golf Club is in the historic Hawkesbury town of Richmond, about an hour north-west of Sydney, with the Blue Mountains as a backdrop. The club describes its 18 holes as the oldest golf course in New South Wales still on its original site. It is home to the Australian PGA Seniors Championship, won in 2024 by Andre Stolz.
The course has bent grass greens, which were hollow tined and topdressed in March 2026 as part of a renovation program, and it is irrigated with recycled water.
Public tee times are limited to set periods: Tuesday all day, Friday from 1pm and Saturday from 3pm, with other days subject to availability through the pro shop. Visitors book by phone on (02) 4578 1739. Online bookings need no prepayment, and players pay at the pro shop on the day. Green fees effective from 6 May 2026 are $45 for 18 holes and $25 for nine, and twilight golf costs $25 after 3pm, depending on the season. A weekday social special for two players covers 18 holes, a cart and a drink voucher for $110. Visitor cart hire is $23 for nine holes and $46 for 18, and hire clubs can be arranged when booking. The dress code calls for enclosed shoes and a collared shirt or T-shirt; thongs and sandals are not permitted.
Head professional Nick Banham and a team of PGA professionals offer individual lessons, group clinics, playing lessons and club fitting seven days a week, with junior clinics in school terms and holidays. The pro shop opens from 6am to 6pm daily. The clubhouse caters for functions and weddings, and opens from 9.30am on weekdays and 9am at weekends, closing between 3pm and 6pm depending on the day.
