About the course

Muree Golf Club is on Walker Crescent in Raymond Terrace. The club was established in 1940, and the course occupies land that was once a sandstone quarry. Native trees and plantings line the holes, and kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and native birds live on the course.

The course has 18 holes, par 71, and measures 5,780 metres. The club pitches it at golfers of every standard, from beginners to experienced players.

Members and non-members are both welcome. Public tee times are booked online through GolfNow, and social group bookings are made through the pro shop. Green fees are $40 for 18 holes on weekdays and $45 on weekends. The weekly program runs as follows:

Monday: veterans
Tuesday: ladies
Wednesday: mixed
Thursday and Friday: social
Saturday and Sunday: mixed

The pro shop is open every day: 7am to 1pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30am to 5pm on Wednesday, 7am to 5pm on Friday and 6am to 5pm on weekends. It is a small shop stocking balls, gloves, shoes, hats, clothing, putters and clubs.

The clubhouse has a main bar, an auditorium, indoor and outdoor gaming, a children's room and an open deck looking over the course. The restaurant, Dumplings On The Green, serves Chinese dishes alongside Australian options for lunch from 11:30am to 2:30pm and dinner from 5pm to 9pm, Tuesday to Sunday, and is closed on Mondays. The club also hosts corporate golf days, social golf groups, weddings and conferences.
