About the course
North Turramurra Golf Course is a public course owned by Ku-ring-gai Council on Bobbin Head Road, North Turramurra, on Sydney's upper North Shore. Established in the 1950s, it looks out over Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and is home to more than 30 species of native animals and birds. Locals know it as "Royal North Turramurra". The course was extensively remodelled in 2016 and 2017 as part of the North Turramurra Recreation Area project, and is managed by Elite Golf NSW.
The 18 holes cover bushland terrain, with front and back nines of different character. The 6th, a risk-and-reward hole, has been named in a published list of notable Australian golf holes. The par of the course is not published online.
The course is open from sunrise to sunset every day, and social golfers are welcome seven days a week, though bookings are essential because of demand. Tee times can be booked online or by phoning the pro shop. Council's published fees are $45 for 18 holes and $35.50 for nine or ten holes on weekdays, rising to $60 and $43 on weekends and public holidays, with a $32.50 twilight rate in the two hours before sunset and lower rates for concession holders and school students. Electric carts, pull trolleys and hire clubs are available.
Practice facilities include large putting and chipping greens and driving nets. The pro shop sells equipment, the resident professionals offer lessons, junior programs and women's clinics, and the Royal North Cafe and Bar serves coffee and food from sunrise to sunset.
Green fees
Weekends and public holidays $60 (18) and $43 (9/10); twilight $32.50; weekday concession $31 and $25; school students $16. Bookings essential. Electric carts for hire.
