About the course

Roseville Golf Club is at 4 Links Avenue, Roseville, about 10 kilometres from the Sydney CBD and next to Roseville Bridge. It sits on a sandstone escarpment above the upper reaches of Middle Harbour, bordered by the bushland of Garigal National Park. The club was founded on 18 January 1923 by local sports players who, after a run of wet weekends, wanted a game that could be played in all weather. They bought about 50 acres of Water Board land, nine-hole play began on 1 October 1923, and the full 18 holes opened on 23 May 1925. Roseville hosted the Australian PGA Championship in 1952 and has staged the Gold Mashie Cup pro-am every year since 1928.

The course is 18 holes, par 67, with eight par 3s and three par 5s. The front nine runs mostly around a bushland valley and the back nine is more open and undulating. Five holes were rebuilt from 2009 by course architect Jim Wilcher.

  • 2nd: a 219-metre par 3 from an elevated tee, with water long and left.
  • 5th: the signature hole, a 160-metre par 3 played downhill over Moore's Creek.
  • 12th: a 193-metre par 3 that carries the water storage dam to an elevated green.
  • 16th: the longest hole, a 494-metre par 5 that doglegs right.

Roseville is a private members' club, named Golf NSW Metropolitan Club of the Year in 2025. Visitor green fees are not published online. The course is available for corporate golf on Wednesday afternoons for groups of up to 60.

The pro shop has four PGA professionals and offers club fitting and lessons, including lessons in Mandarin. The club runs Saturday clinics and junior and cadet programs, and has practice facilities, a renovated clubhouse, function rooms, dining and a bar.
