About the course

The Oaks Ranch is a resort on Old Mossy Point Road at Mossy Point, between Batemans Bay and Moruya on the Eurobodalla coast. The property runs down to the Tomaga River and combines accommodation, a restaurant, a function and wedding venue, a pool and a nine-hole golf course. The course is also the home course of the Tomakin Sports and Social Club golf club.

The resort lists the course at 2,042 metres and par 35, while the Golf NSW scorecard shows par 34 over 2,138 metres. It is laid out through native bushland where kangaroos graze, with small greens and undulating surrounds. Water comes into play on at least three holes and bunkers are placed around the layout, and new tees and bunkers have been added recently.

  • 9th: rated the hardest hole, especially into an easterly wind, with a long carry over water and a large fairway bunker on the left.

The course is open to everyone from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, and bookings are not essential, although groups and special golf days should contact the resort first. Competition and social golf both run seven days. Green fees are not published online. Cart hire is $30 for nine holes and club hire is $20 a set, and a rewards card gives the eighth game free. Reception is open from 9am to 5pm daily.

After a round the bar serves drinks and coffee, and the resort's restaurant, ARLO, is on site. The river frontage is used for fishing, kayaking and swimming.
