About the course
Toronto Golf Club is at 122 Wangi Road, Toronto, on Lake Macquarie. It amalgamated with Toronto Workers Club in 2008, and the Workers Club now runs it.
The course has 18 holes. The club's course layout page has photographs of every hole and the putting green but no written hole guide, and the site does not publish the par or length.
Non-members are welcome for social golf seven days a week, and bookings are essential. Public tee times are booked online through the club's MiClub page, with each week's bookings opening at midnight on the Sunday before; on Tuesdays and Wednesdays social players are fitted around competitions. The social green fee for non-members is $50, dropping to $27 after 3pm. Visitors can play in competitions for $48 midweek and $50 at weekends, and competitions are held on Tuesday, Wednesday (women), Thursday and Saturday. Visiting juniors under 18 pay $20 for social golf. Carts cost non-members $40 for 18 holes and $25 for nine, and four-seat carts are not allowed.
The pro shop is open from 6am to 6pm daily, stocks the major brands and handles club repairs and equipment hire. Professionals Nathan Green, Darren Green and Jye Forrester teach seven days a week, with a 30-minute lesson at $70. The 12-bay driving range has Toptracer ball tracking and is open from 7am (8am on Wednesdays) to 9pm. The clubhouse serves food, beer, wine and coffee, with hours that vary through the week, from noon to 4pm on Mondays to 11am to 8pm on Fridays. A half-way house is open during most competitions and events.
