About the course
Warringah Golf Club sits on Condamine Street at North Manly, on land set aside for public recreation between Brookvale and Manly in 1928. The first nine holes, designed by Cecil Byrne, the club's first professional, opened north of Kentwell Road in 1935, and the club was formed at a public meeting in September 1936 with 36 members. The second nine, south of Kentwell Road, followed in 1939. In 2021 the club signed a 20-year lease for 18 holes and sold its ageing clubhouse, and construction of a new clubhouse on the Warringah Recreation Centre site began in 2025. It is due to open in mid November 2026, when the club becomes Warringah Golf and Community Club.
The course is a par 69 of about 4,840 metres from the men's yellow tees, with six par 3s and three par 5s, so it suits a quicker round.
- 2nd: the hardest hole, a 396-metre par 4.
- 3rd: the longest hole, a 454-metre par 5.
- 12th: the shortest, a 106-metre par 3.
- 18th: a 360-metre par 4 rated the second hardest on the course.
The course is open to the public. Social golfers register online as public members and book through the club's MiClub page, where timesheets open 15 days ahead. Cancellations need 48 hours' notice for a refund, changes are made by phone with the pro shop, every player needs their own bag and hire equipment is available. Groups of more than 16 book through the pro shop, and BYO alcohol is not permitted.
The new clubhouse has the pro shop and a garden bar on the ground floor, opening onto an outdoor patio, with a sports bar, function room and dining area upstairs looking over the course. Tennis and squash courts share the site.
