About the course

Wentworth Sporting Complex Golf Club is the community-run course at Wentworth in far south-west NSW. It is part of the 10.4-hectare Wentworth Sporting Complex on Beverley Street, next to the Old Wentworth Gaol, which also has 14 tennis courts and a bowling green. It is a different club from Wentworth Golf Club in Orange.

The course has 18 grassed fairways and greens set among gum trees, and kangaroos, emus and other wildlife share the fairways. Lakes come into play on several holes, and the club notes a period when flooding left the fairways under water before they dried out.

All golfers are welcome and no booking is needed: players walk on and pay $20 per person, or $38 for two, at the wall payment machine before teeing off. The course is open daily from 8am to 6pm. Motorised carts, buggies and clubs can be hired, with a Vendi cart available around the clock and carts bookable online. The dress code is relaxed.

  • Tuesday: Chicken Run, nine holes of twilight golf from 5pm, $10 entry (from 20 October 2026).
  • Thursday and Sunday: competitions with a 9.15am tee-off; non-members pay $25 including green fee.

A licensed bar opens on competition days, and the club holds barbecues, family days and other social events, with a monthly newsletter for members and visitors.
