About the course
Wingham Golf Club was formed in 1914 and, after several earlier homes, moved to its present site on Country Club Drive in 1953. The course has nine holes, with alternate tees used for an 18-hole round. It follows the natural contours of the land, with wide fairways, gently undulating greens, bunkers and water hazards, and looks out over the surrounding countryside.
Visitors pay $30 for 18 holes and $25 for nine, and on Mondays and Fridays there is a $15 flat rate. Social tee times are booked by phone with the club, while members' competitions and main events are booked online. Visitor cart hire is $36 for 18 holes and $25 for nine, and a two-player cart deal on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays after 1pm costs $60 for 18 holes and $50 for nine. Anyone hiring a cart has to sign a cart hire agreement.
The clubhouse has the Golf View Bistro, which specialises in Chinese food, along with a bar and lounge where children are welcome, a covered beer garden, a kids' games room and a function room. There are also change rooms, keno and gaming, and disabled access throughout the club.
