About the course

Yamba Golf & Country Club is on River Street, a short walk from the centre of Yamba. Its 18-hole championship course hosts the Yamba Open and an annual pro-am, and the club's pro-am was named the PGA's National Pro Am of the Year in 2020 after winning the Queensland PGA regional award in 2016 and 2017.

The course is mostly flat, and the main hazards are water, trees, bunkers and the wind. The greens are Tif 328. There are several sets of tees:

  • Men's black: 5,918 metres, par 72.
  • Men's blue: 5,760 metres, par 72.
  • Men's white: 4,814 metres, par 67.
  • Ladies' red: 5,216 metres, par 73.

The club website has fly-over videos of all 18 holes.

Tee times and enquiries go through the pro shop. Social golf times are set for each day: Monday from 10am, Tuesday from 7am, Wednesday from midday, Thursday from 3pm, Friday from 10.30am, Saturday from 3pm and Sunday from 7am. Carts are booked through the pro shop, and the club also runs stay and play packages.

Head professional Jamie Corkill runs the pro shop, and clinics are offered for women, men and juniors. The club has a TrackMan studio with golf simulators. The clubhouse has an undercover deck overlooking the course, the Seafire Restaurant and The Deck Café. Seafire serves lunch from 12pm to 2pm on weekdays and Sundays, dinner from 5pm to 8pm, and runs from 12pm to 8pm on Saturdays. The club is open from 10am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and from 9am on Sundays, and it runs a courtesy bus.
