About the course
Jabiru Golf Club is at 430 Jabiru Drive in the township of Jabiru, inside Kakadu National Park, and is the only golf club in Kakadu. It has a nine-hole course and a clubhouse with an air-conditioned bar, the Kakadu Clubhouse Kitchen and a back deck that looks over the 9th hole.
Golfers of all abilities are welcome, and the course is open from 8am to 4.30pm. Green fees are $25 for 18 holes and $15 for nine. Motorised carts cost $55 for 18 holes and $40 for nine on weekdays, and $65 and $50 at weekends, and clubs can be hired for $15. Book a round by phoning (08) 8979 2575 or call in at the clubhouse. The club is for members, guests and travellers, so visitors must sign in with photo ID; locals can visit three times a year before they need to join. Skins are played every Wednesday afternoon and everyone is welcome.
The pro shop sells balls, gloves and tees, along with club shirts, hats and souvenirs. The bar opens from 3pm Monday to Thursday, 2pm on Friday and 11am at weekends. The kitchen serves dinner Wednesday to Saturday from 5.30pm to 8.30pm and lunch on Saturday, with hot snacks at other times. Takeaway alcohol is sold only to financial members, but travellers can take out a seven-day membership.
