About the course

Mt Pleasant & District Golf Club is at 45 Golfcourse Road, Mount Pleasant, where the Adelaide Hills meet the Barossa, roughly an hour's drive from Adelaide and half an hour from the Barossa Valley.

The 18-hole course has irrigated greens and fairways, kept in condition by the club's groundsman with help from a team of volunteers. A recent upgrade has made the layout par 72 from both the men's and women's tees. The course doubles as a FootGolf venue, and the club describes itself as the home of the sport in South Australia.

Visitors can play at any hour: a Vendi green-fee machine on site takes cash or card, so the course is effectively open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Fees are $25 for 18 holes and $20 for nine midweek, and $30 and $25 on weekends and public holidays. School students pay $15 for 18 holes and $10 for nine. Motorised carts cost $40 (members $30) and should be booked ahead through the club; carts are not available to FootGolf players.

  • FootGolf: $20 for adults and $10 for school students, with ball hire $5.

Group and corporate bookings are welcome for both golf and FootGolf. The clubhouse is fully licensed, opens on weekends and can be hired for functions. The club office phone, (08) 8568 2652, is staffed on Friday mornings only, and the club email is mtpgolf@bigpond.com.
